Wrist supports

The hand is highly mobile and therefore has a complex structure. It consists of 27 bones; together, both hands account for nearly a quarter of all the bones in the human body. The carpus alone is made up of eight carpal bones. Their intricate interaction with the forearm bones enables the wrist's tremendous range of motion—though this also increases susceptibility to injury. Bracing oneself incorrectly during a fall, or subjecting the wrist to persistent strain or overuse at work or during sports, can cause pain. A wrist orthosis completely immobilizes the hand, whereas wrist braces help alleviate pain while allowing you to remain active.
