Tendon irritation can occur in many parts of the body. It often affects the elbow, and the irritation is usually triggered by repeated daily exertion or excessive sports activities. The complaints, also known as tennis elbows or golfers' elbows, usually resolve well with prompt treatment, if possible already in the early stages. However, if tendon irritation remains undetected - and above all untreated - there is a risk of consequential damage.
