olecranon bursitis

Olecranon bursitis is a painful inflammation of the bursa at the back of the elbow (over the bony prominence). Typical signs include distinct, tense, elastic swelling, redness, warmth, and tenderness to pressure. Common causes include constant leaning on the elbow, contusions, or bacterial infections.
