Cutimed® Sorbact® Hydroactive B combines the unique Sorbact® principle with flexible exudate management. It binds germs according to the principle of hydrophobic interaction and does not require the use of chemical antimicrobial substances: The special Sorbact® coating gives the product strong hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties. Many pathogenic bacteria and fungi are hydrophobic in nature and therefore bind to the Sorbact® fabric. Each time the dressing is changed, the number of germs in the wound is reduced and optimal conditions are created for the natural wound healing process.
The hydrogel matrix of Cutimed® Sorbact® Hydroactive B also keeps the wound environment moist and promotes autolytic debridement in fibrin-covered and necrotic wounds.
