medial ligament rupture

A medial collateral ligament rupture is a tear of the inner side ligament, usually occurring in the knee joint due to severe twisting or a blow from the outside. Typical symptoms include intense pain on the inner side of the knee, swelling, and a feeling of instability. In most cases, the tear heals well without surgery.
