knee osteoarthritis

Knee osteoarthritis (gonarthrosis) is the painful wear and tear of the cartilage layer in the knee joint. Typical symptoms include pain when starting to move after rising, stiffness, and pain during physical exertion. Since cartilage is nourished through movement, targeted exercise is the most important measure, complemented by weight loss and painkillers.
