Biceps tendon tenodesis

In a biceps tenodesis (tenodesis of the long head of the biceps tendon), a damaged or unstable tendon in the shoulder area is detached and reattached to a healthy site on the humerus. The procedure relieves chronic pain, prevents the "Popeye sign" (downward displacement of the muscle), and preserves arm strength in active individuals.
