Joint explosion

A joint separation (usually of the AC joint or acromioclavicular joint) is a severe injury to the ligaments connecting the collarbone and the acromion. It often results from a fall onto the shoulder during sports. Typical signs include severe pain, swelling, and often a protruding collarbone (piano key sign).
