Hip joint dislocation

A hip dislocation is the displacement of the femoral head from the hip socket. A distinction is made between congenital hip dislocation in infants (often caused by hip dysplasia) and traumatic hip dislocation resulting from severe accidents in adults. Both forms are medical emergencies - or cases requiring urgent treatment - that necessitate immediate diagnosis and therapy.
