epicondylitis

Epicondylitis is a painful inflammatory condition affecting the tendon attachments at the elbow. A distinction is made between tennis elbow (outer side, *epicondylitis radialis*) and golfer's elbow (inner side, *epicondylitis ulnaris*). It is usually triggered by overuse resulting from repetitive, one-sided movements during sports, work, or computer use.
