When the Achilles tendon becomes the focal point, the active bandage Cellacare Achillo is suitable. It compresses the Achilles tendon and supports the tendon area with an anatomically shaped silicone pad. It is used for the treatment of acute and chronic as well as posttraumatic or postoperative irritation conditions in the Achilles tendon area in, for example, achillodynia, bursitis achillea and subachillea, peritendinitis, peritendinosis and tendinitis. In addition, it is used postoperatively after Achilles tendon rupture or partial rupture and bursectomy and after surgery on the sliding tissue of the Achilles tendon
Moving properties
The Cellacare Achillo compresses the ankle and Achilles tendon area and promotes blood circulation through friction. The special Lymphtec silicone padding encompasses the tendon canal from the heel to the lower leg, thereby specifically promoting lymphatic drainage. Thus, the active bandage supports the reduction of swelling and bruising. A compression-reduced fabric allows full freedom of movement and the prevention of constrictions in the instep area. The active bandage offers high wearing comfort due to the molded heel and the anatomical fit of the 3-dimensional knitted bandage.
