abdominal paralysis

Abdominal muscle paralysis is the loss of muscle strength or the complete inability to contract the muscles of the abdominal wall. It is usually caused by nerve damage, spinal injuries, surgery, or neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, and frequently leads to visible bulging of the abdominal wall, postural weakness, and difficulties with trunk stabilization.
