meniscus reconstruction

Meniscus reconstruction (meniscus repair or refixation) is an arthroscopic procedure on the knee joint in which a torn meniscus is sutured rather than removed. The goal is to preserve the meniscus's vital shock-absorbing function in order to prevent long-term knee joint wear (osteoarthritis).
