Back orthosis medi Lumbamed basic - Lumbar spine orthosis for stabilization during painful conditions in the lumbar Region.

Integrated support elements for stabilization and relief
2-zone knit fabric for easy application and stability
Fold-down closure edges for comfort during movement and while sitting

The Lumbamed basic is an orthosis featuring integrated support elements. These provide stabilization and relief for the lumbar spine. The resulting postural correction helps to alleviate pain.

This back orthosis is indicated for all conditions requiring stabilization of the lumbar spine, such as:

Lumbalgia
Muscular imbalances in the lumbar region, or
Painful conditions at the lumbosacral junction

The orthosis's comfort Features - encompassing material, fit, ease of use, and effective therapy - offer numerous benefits for managing back pain in daily life:

COMFORT MATERIAL: An integrated "Comfort Zone" featuring a 2-zone knit fabric ensures easy application and a pleasant wearing sensation, combined with proven stability. Particularly during direct skin contact, the blend of high-tech fibers and natural fibers (derived, for example, from eucalyptus) feels exceptionally comfortable against the skin. Twelve percent of the knit fabric consists of SEAQUAL YARN - an innovative yarn produced from recycled PET bottles; on average, this corresponds to one one-liter bottle per orthosis. Another key benefit is the "Clima Comfort" function: modern fiber technologies rapidly wick moisture away from the skin's surface, ensuring high breathability.

COMFORT FIT: A high-cut flex zone in the sensitive groin area, combined with fold-down closure edges, enhances wearing comfort both during movement and while sitting. COMFORT HANDLING: The internal hand loop on the left side and the external loop on the right allow for easy application of the orthosis, while a practical finger tab assists with opening. Additionally, a helpful Velcro aid facilitates closure.

COMFORT EFFECT: The integrated support elements provide stabilization and relief for the lumbar spine; the resulting postural correction can help alleviate pain. Furthermore, the compressive knit fabric can improve proprioception, thereby promoting the body's own stabilizing mechanisms.

Mode of Action

Pain relief through postural correction.
Reduction of lumbar lordosis via proprioceptive compression in the abdominal region.
Stabilization of the lumbar spine region and the lumbosacral junction through four dorsally integrated stabilizing elements.
The compressive knit fabric can improve proprioception. Improved proprioception supports the body's own stabilizing mechanisms.

Intended Use

Orthosis for stabilization of the lumbar spine.
