The Hotgen® antigen self-test reliably and quickly triages people suspected of having the coronavirus.
The results of the Hotgen® Antigen rapid test are available within 15 minutes and thus enable infected persons to be identified quickly.
With this self-test, a self-guided screening can be carried out in the event of contact with SARS-CoV-2 infected people. The self-test provides quick answers regarding the infection status.
The small, device-free test kit in the individual packaging enables convenient private use without a great deal of specialist knowledge.
Especially at home or in companies, the service sector or schools, where otherwise specialist staff are used to take samples, this anterio nasal rapid test can be used easily and safely by anyone.
Product Information
The Hotgen® Biotech rapid test is intended for the qualitative detection of antigens against 2019-nCov in clinical specimens (nasal swab or nasopharyngeal swab). The SARS-CoV-2 antigen test provides a quick and reliable answer for both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients with regard to SARS-CoV-2 infection. For example, a precise screening of people with known contact with SARS-CoV-2 infected people can be carried out and the infection status can be determined. The SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Test Kit contains all the materials needed and can be used by healthcare professionals from anywhere.

The principle
The current test card is based on the technique of specific antibody-antigen reaction and immunoanalysis. The test card contains a colloidal, gold-labeled 2019-nCov N-protein monoclonal antibody pre-coated on the combination pad, a matching 2019-nCov N-protein monoclonal antibody immobilized on the test area (T) and a corresponding one Antibodies in the quality control area (C). During testing, the N-protein in the sample binds to the colloidal gold-labeled N-protein monoclonal antibody 2019-nCov pre-coated on the combination pad. The conjugates migrate upwards under capillary action and are then released from the test area (T) in the immobilized N protein monoclonal antibody. The higher the N-protein content in the sample, the more the conjugate will capture and the darker the color in the test area. If there is no virus in the sample or the virus level is below the detection limit, no color will be detectable in the test area (T). A purple stripe appears in the quality control area (C) whether or not the virus is present in the sample. The purple stripe in the quality control area (C) is a criterion for evaluating whether there is enough sample and whether the chromatographic process is normal or not.
The use
The Hotgen Antigen lay user self-test can be carried out very easily.
This is particularly advantageous if there is to be immediate certainty as to whether an acute Covid-19 infection is present and laboratory tests are difficult to access or take a long time. The test helps to quickly identify infected people. The results should enable the early diagnosis of a SARS-CoV-2-In
Ease infection with symptoms of SARS-CoV-2. In addition, it serves as a valuable diagnostic supplement for the initial screening of people with direct contact with SARS-CoV-2 infected people or those who have been exposed to a high-risk environment. This can prevent the virus from spreading and contain the pandemic.
Notes and Precautions:
The rapid test can also be used without specialists in accordance with the instructions for use.
A rapid test for self-use does not replace a PCR laboratory test. This must also be carried out in the case of an acute infection.
Wear personal protective equipment such as gloves and lab coats when handling the pack reagents. Wash your hands thoroughly after performing the tests.
In the event of spills, ensure thorough cleaning with a suitable disinfectant.
Follow infectious agent safety precautions when handling specimens.
Take proven precautions to guard against microbiological hazards throughout the testing process.
Dispose of all specimens and materials used in testing as biohazardous waste. Laboratory chemicals and biohazardous waste must be handled and disposed of in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
