The cushion is designed for an abduction of approx. 30 ° and an internal rotation of approx. 25 °. Its anatomical shape ensures optimized fit and the desired relief of the shoulder area by day and night. The open construction of the pillow and belt system prevents excessive heat generation.The special design of the abduction pad provides a secure fixation against unintended and unnecessary movements of the injured area. An integrated reinforcement of the underarm support provides additional stability.The special Body Comfort belt system of the Tricodur® AK30 distributes the weight of the treated extremity and relieves the neck area noticeably. Velcro fasteners allow easy adjustment of the straps. After a first-time adjustment by a specialist, the shoulder abduction pillow can simply be attached and placed by the patient even with only one hand. The special design of the back of the pillow allows the patient to adjust the intended internal rotation or to check during use. A handrainer for mobilization is included in the delivery.Tricodur® AK30 is made of polyamide, polyurethane and four polypropylene rings. The pillow cover and the belt system are washable at 30 ° C.
